METHODOLOGY
 
 

The architectural intervention was carried out after a detailed analysis of Calle 45, finding lots with great potential and underutilized. Once the lot has been chosen, the architect projects an architectural program through a concept, in this way the project would have coherence in all its aspects.

REACTIVATION OF 45TH STREET IN BOGOTÁ

 

Calle 45 is a road of great importance for the city, as it connects different educational academies, including two of the most important universities in the country; the Javeriana University and the National University of Colombia. While in the intermediate sections you can see a large number of schools and high schools. It is a place with great capacities and  areas of opportunity, mainly due to its strategic location and its large number of green areas. However, mismanagement of the track has allowed it to deteriorate, thus creating a host of problems.

After doing an analysis of the stock on 45th street, the lot that remains at the intersection between the street in question and the 42nd diagonal was chosen. Currently, a car wash is being established, a lot with great potential given its proximity to multiple educational centers and one of the most important ecological walks in the capital, the Parkway. This is where he thought of incorporating the: Culinary Center Kitchen 45|24

It is a container of an impressive gastronomic culture that characterizes Colombia, where the main objective is to achieve a project that has different ways of being traveled, of being enjoyed, so that it can offer a pleasant environment to people who still want to preserve the art of the conversation

THE ART OF THE CONVERSATION

The main idea of the project arises from a concept that is handled in an article that narrates the conversation between two philosophers, one of them Erich Froom. 
The article is in a book called the Art of Conversation. That title sums up in a great way everything dealt with by the philosopher.

Erich Froom talks about how over time people only talk for one purpose, usually it is a dispute, a fight to know who is right, never for the mere pleasure of talking.

The entire project was thought of as a function of promoting theconversation without purpose , from this initial idea, it was decided that it is possible to use architecture as a container to resume this (almost) lost art. Activities that suggest purposeless conversation usually involve an action as fundamental as eating. The food, acts solittle ones like having coffee with a friend, or eating at a fancy restaurant with your partner, can trigger a good conversation without having anticipated it

The geometry of the project was thought based on the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...) That is why the internal patios are circumscribed by squares with a diameter that meets these proportions: 5 meters, 8 meters and 13 meters. The project is designed on a central axis that connects 3 internal patios with abundant nature, on its sides there are premises of different sizes. Starting with small establishments, with fast food offerings, up to high-level restaurants where you can stay.

It is not about creating a food court like that of a shopping center, where the noise and the combination of smells do not allow you to have a conversation in peace, it is not a suitable space for your stay. For this reason, through the combination of circulations, both horizontal and vertical, patios, accesses and premises, countless routes can be taken to discuss the project. Additionally, it has a sustainable purpose, promoting the emergence of spontaneous wild nature in unusual spaces of the building.
